“BURST OF COLOR”
This is one of my first shots, it Is a real mess of colours, shadows, reflections and contrasts. This image was taken ON SEPTEMBER 17, 2022 in the typical market "A Fera o Luni" of Catania, my hometown. The main subject is the man in the center with the orange shirt and striped trousers. His outfit perfectly matches the colours of the two curtains above his head, orange and stripes respectively. Furthermore, another object takes up the orange coloUr, the umbrella on the left. I deliberately HAVE not includeD SUSPENDED umbrellas as I decided to show THEM through the shadows on the floor and through the mirror of the SCOOTER ON THE RIGHT. Another element that HAD INSPIRED ME, WAS the contrast between the striped trousers of the main subject and the checked shirt of the man ON the right of the photo.
“THE WALK THROUGH TIME”
I consider this photo a bit of a stroke of luck. ON September 29, 2022, I was walking by the sea, in "Acitrezza", the town of GIOVANNI VERGA’S “MALAVOGLIA”. I TOOK OUT THE camera AS SOON AS I noticeD two couples of different ages who were about to cross each other CLOSE TO the tip of "Faraglioni", THE MYTHOLOGICAL GROUP OF ROCKS FROM ULYSSE’S TALES. for me THIS IMAGE EMBODIES two different generationS THAT ARE CROSSING THE SAME PATH OF LIFE. The girl's foot, almost trampling on the tip of the Faraglione is a detail RESPRESENTING a "PUSH button" that allows you to travel through time.
“THE CORNER OF SOCIETY”
I took this pictures ON MARCH 17, 2023, ON a street in the center of Krakow. I was in front of this corner to capture the perfect shot, and THERE it WAs. Through this image I wanted to tell the contrast of individuals within today's society. By now most people follow certain lifestyles and only a few brave ones manage to stand out by taking their own path. The LIGHT NATURALLY DIVIDES THE PICTURE IN HALF. ON THE LEFT SIDE YOU CAN CATH THE MAN WALKING ON A FLUO JACKET. ON THE RIGHT SIDE, THE SHADOWS ARE TAKING LIFE THROUGH DARK SILHOUETTES. ALL OF IT IS A SYMBOL OF WHAT SOCIETY REALLY IS.
